Before receiving muscle relaxant injections at Allure Women's Healthcare clinic, a comprehensive consultation with one of our Registered Nurses is an essential step. During this consultation, you will have the opportunity to openly discuss your concerns and desired outcomes with your practitioner.
Based on your individual needs, your practitioner will develop a personalised treatment plan and guide you through the entire process. They will explain how the treatment works, the potential benefits, associated costs, and any possible risks or complications. Additionally, they will provide you with post-treatment instructions.
Following the initial consultation, you will have a second consultation with a prescribing Doctor through Telehealth. Once the necessary prescriptions are obtained, your practitioner will carefully prepare your skin and mark the targeted injection sites. The muscle relaxant will then be injected into the identified muscles.
The duration of the appointment will depend on the specific areas being treated and typically lasts between 15 to 30 minutes. -
. You can apply ice or cold compress to the area to help reduce swelling and discomfort
. Avoid touching, rubbing or applying pressure to the treated areas
. Avoid strenuous exercise, excess heat exposure, saunas, and steam room for 24-48 hours
. Remain upright for 4 hours follow your muscle relaxant treatment
. No peels, lasers or facials for 2 weeks
. No active ingredients for 72 hours

Muscle relaxant can start working within a few days after the treatment. However, the full effects of the muscle relaxant may take up to 2 weeks to become apparent.

Muscle relaxant injections may include temporary bruising and swelling at the injection site. Headache, flu-like symptoms, temporary muscle weakness or drooping can occur, allergic reactions, asymmetry or unsatisfactory results, infection, nerve damage, or systemic reactions.
