COSMETIC INJECTABLES

BIO-STIMULATOR

“Bio-stimulators aim to stimulate collagen to improve fine lines, wrinkle’s, skin laxity and volume loss.”

What are bio-stimulator injections?

Bio-stimulator Injections are a type of cosmetic procedure that uses an injectable substance to tighten the skin. These substances, which are biocompatible and synthetic in nature, are specifically designed to stimulate the production of collagen. As collagen levels increase, the skin's support structure improves, resulting in a reduction in the visibility of fine lines, wrinkles, volume loss, and sagging skin.

What areas can bio-stimulators be injected in?

Bio-stimulators can be used in the following areas:

  • Cheeks

  • Temples

  • Chin

  • Neck

  • Décolletage

FAQs

  • Before receiving bio-stimulator injections at Allure Women's Healthcare clinic, a comprehensive consultation with one of our Registered Nurses is an essential step. During this consultation, you will have the opportunity to openly discuss your concerns and desired outcomes with your practitioner.

Based on your individual needs, your practitioner will develop a personalised treatment plan and guide you through the entire process. They will explain how the treatment works, the potential benefits, associated costs, and any possible risks or complications. Additionally, they will provide you with post-treatment instructions.

Following the initial consultation, you will have a second consultation with a prescribing Doctor through Telehealth. Once the necessary prescriptions are obtained, your practitioner will carefully prepare your skin and mark the targeted injection sites. The bio-stimulator product will then be injected into the areas discusses.

The duration of the appointment will depend on the specific areas being treated and typically lasts 30-60 minutes.

  • . You can apply ice or cold compress to the area to help reduce swelling and discomfort

. Avoid touching, rubbing or applying pressure to the treated areas

. Avoid strenuous exercise, excess heat exposure, saunas, and steam room for 24-48 hours

. No peels, lasers or facials for 2 weeks

. No active ingredients for 72 hours

  • While you might observe some initial outcomes within a few weeks, the process of collagen stimulation initiated by biostimulator injections persists for several months. Consequently, the results gradually enhance over the course of the next 6-12 months, results may last up to 2 years.

  • The risks and complications following bio-stimulators may include allergic reactions, although rare, can occur, leading to swelling, redness, itching, or rash. Infections are also a possibility, although proper sterile techniques can help minimise this risk. Bruising and swelling are common side effects that typically resolve within a few days. Lumps or irregularities under the skin can occasionally form. Rarely, vascular complications may arise if the filler is inadvertently injected into a blood vessel, which can lead to tissue damage, skin necrosis, or vision problems. Migration or shifting of the filler material and the formation of granulomas (nodules or lumps) are also potential but infrequent concerns.
